SKCS Yearbook 1954•43 South Kortright Central School Almedian

CONCERT BAND

In November the band took part in the annual Fall Concert presented at the school. Twelve of the band members participated in the annual county festival at Delhi, November 13 and 14.

In the second semester they planned a student recital for February 5. A number of band members planned to play solos and in ensembles for the spring festival; and the band planned to enter the competition.

Members of the band were:

Flutes - Bernard Cleveland, Alice Moore, Joan Oxberry; Clarinets - Yvonne Cook, Doris Wheeler, Bernard Smith, Joan Rose, ARleen Coager, Wallace Street, Virgil Macaluso, Velma craft, Ruth Krick, Eugenie Morse, Odette Icarte, Grace Kathmann, JoAnn McIntosh, Joyce Alton, Mirdza Vejines, Nancy Cline; Bass Clarinets - James Smith, Karen Martin; Alto Sax - Annis Reed, Barbara Thompson; Tenor Sax - Donna Decker; Baritone Sax - Beverly Palm; Horn - Fay Nesbitt, Margaret Lehner, Betty Rosencrans, Damris Yanson; Cornet - John Adams, Sanda Hoyt, Cecil Cairns, Howard Brooman, Jackie Andrews, James Cowan, Frank Chapman, George Williams; Baritone - Nancy Nesbit, Kenneth Brockway, Yvonne Many; Trombone - Ronald Adams, Charles Smith, Catherine Reed, William VanBuren, Allan Frazier; Bass - Wilford Barnhart, Fred Dibble; Percussion - JoAnn McKillip (Typani), Richard Kathmann, JoAnn Askew, Charles Palm, Inez More.
